Lately Facebook has been really annoying me. Why do they constantly change their look. It really isn't necessary. Why would you fix something that isn't broken? It keeps getting more complicated and more in depth, when it really doesn't have to be. It's just a nice way of staying in touch with your friends without having to figure anything out. Myspace has gone completely insane (not that I use it anymore). It's like completely flash. Every time I load the page I want to have a seizure from all the flashing and brightness. Keep it simple Facebook, or something new and easy is going to steal all your business!

Way back in the day, when I didn't know what I was missing, I thought XBOX's were the coolest thing. Today, I majorly disagree. PS3's are a far superior system in several ways. One: games just run better on the play station. Unline XBOX's, when I play Oblivion, I don't have to wait for the trees to load. Two: Playstation CAN cost you fifty dollars a year, but not to play online for free. The online charge opens you up to hundreds of free games and extra stuff for your system like backgrounds. Finally, you can play Blue Ray discs on it. People who defend XBOX's have really lost their ground in the past several years.

Tomorrow is my final day at the job I've held for a little over three years. Again I think of the small milestone I've hit in my life, and I reflect on how I've grown as a person as well. I know what makes me happy. I know what makes me tick. It's a good feeling to know yourself and realize there is so much more to learn in this world. And when I start my new job Monday I'm going to be at the bottom again. But I will be happy because I will be growing. And growing feels better than being stuck at the top of the ceiling.

Have you ever been in a place where like one person is smoking, and then you leave later and smell like smoke? That is so gross. I seriously don't understand how people can smoke cigarettes. They don't even smell good so they can't taste good. The only reason people even smoke them is probably because of the nicotine that they smoking companies say is "non addictive." I've smoked tobacco out of a pipe before. That didn't taste as bad as cigarettes smell, so it's wierd to me that people would choose something yucky over something that at least tastes better.

As I cleaned my old apartment out today, I noticed how I had no more connection to the city where it is located anymore. I was eager to get home to where I feel like I belong, at least for now. I tediously scrubbed the shower, and the kitchen, and the bathroom. By the way, those magic erasers (the Mr Clean ones, not the crappy knockoffs) are so freaking amazing. They are God's Eraser. The next end of days will come in the form of an epic magic god eraser and we will all just cease to exist....ok, anyways, yea...lots of cleaning chemicals got into my head today. It was a good day though, lots accomplished. I will make it my goal to COMPLETELY finish the new apartment tomorrow. That would feel so awesome.

So I got a new job recently. I don't start training until the end of the month, but I am super excited. It's kind of a step up and a step down I suppose at the same time. I've been with my current company for three years, and have tried to move to different departments, but was never given the opportunity. Eventually, I got so good at my job that I couldn't get any better at it. With this opportunity, I'm going to be getting paid a little more and hopefully will actually be given the opportunity to grow within the company because I from the outside, I don't think anything would make me happier.

The Count of Monte Cristo. In the future I would really like to actually read the book, but for the time being the movie has served me well. I love the old man in the beginning. Although, I think if I were confined to such a space for so long I'd just completely go crazy. The only thing wrong with the movie is that it's kind of like Superman in the sense that you'd think Mercedes who was in such love with Edmond, would recognize him in 10 years more immediately than she actually did. But over all, I imagine it's a fairly decent book to movie adaptation.

As I was packing all my bathroom cabinets (of all places) I found a Batman watch that my best friend at the time had given me for Christmas or some such. I have always kept it because it meant a lot to me, maybe it still does. I haven't had the heart to donate it yet. I had randomly said one day how much I had always wanted a Batman watch and then a few months later there it was, as a gift to me. Funny now how it resides in the far reaches of my bathroom cabinet. People come and people go, but I suppose they always leave you with memories.

There are so many amazing animals right in your backyard. And I'm not necessarily talking about the stray neighborhood cats. I'm talking about your local pound. Thousands of animals are put down in your state every day because there are too many mouths to feed and not enough funds or people to help take care of them. That's where you can help. By adopting an animal (instead of buying them from breeders) you can save an animal and have its conditional love for life. In my experience I've found that pound animals are also far more adaptable to other animals you may already own. It's almost as if they know it's better to share the house than have to be back at the pound. I hope if you're reading this, you consider adopting a pet from your local shelter.

Something that never ceases to amaze me how people manage to make art out of random things. I mean, some guy actually cuts toilet paper rolls into little scenes that can only be seen by looking
through the roll. Then there is another guy that makes microscopic art INSIDE the little 'o' part of needles. Freakin' needles! He uses a microscope and his obscene amount of patience and
precision. I'm totally jealous. You have to be so creative to come up with something like that, and still be able to actually see it come to fruition. These people inspire me!

Whenever my father would hear my music on the radio he would always so "omg, this music is so terrible, back in my day, blah blah blah. All of this music sounds the same; it's all just noise." Recently I've come to find myself flipping through radio stations, unable to find anything agreeable to listen to. My dad's voice reverberates through my head, and it's starting to make sense. Most of the music that comes out today is just loud, which the same chords, and no imagination. I wonder if I heard todays music a few years ago if I would feel the same way. I think I'd probably like it. >.<

Lord of the Rings was probably the most epic movie ever made. Not only did Jackson stay quite true to Tolkiens' novel legacy, but he also was able to fully immerse his movie goers in a fantasy world that was beautiful and engaging. Yes, we all know they are a million hours long, but even that time seems to pass quickly since the story progresses so well. And the special effects were to DIE for. I am so excited for The Hobbit to come out. It will be really freakin' cool to see what kind of dragon they can create with 2010-2011 graphics and tools.

I have always been enamored with Asian cultures because it is so unlike American culture in almost every way. To begin with, a very strict respect is taught to children at an early age. They respect their elders whether that means their parents or the crazy old man down the street that talks to himself. It seems many Asian people choose one hobby to perfect and work on becoming a master at that task until they pass into the next life. I find that commendable. They also are able to live with the bare necessities in life and be happy still. Sometimes I wish I was born in Japan.

Cats are pretty much the coolest creatures on earth. They are like most humans: capable of taking care of themselves, but they do need attention sometimes. Dogs are less independent and a little more like a 5 year old. They will sit and stare at you until you pet them and when you stop they just start staring at you again. Plus they slobber on stuff and step on your toes. They bark and they howl at everything. A cat would be more inclined to observe the dog and scoff at his ways, reach critical boredom, then go back to sun bathing.

The older I get the more the days kind of blur right into each other. Back when I was a kid I remember that time seemed to take forever. Sometimes even two forevers! Christmas, birthdays, hell even the weekend sometimes, and that was back when work was way more fun than it is now. Everytime I turn around now, an entire year has passed and I'm left pondering how it even happened. I am completely terrified of how time will fly when I'm 50. I'll just blink and find out that 3 days have gone by. Wait, I think that's called narcolepsy.
